The most important feature to look for in anti-chafing running shorts is a fabric that moves with you and wicks away moisture. Look for polyester and spandex, which offer a snug fit that won’t bunch up as you move. Seams should also be flat to reduce friction and look for fabrics with added stretch so they can move with your body as you run. Other features include breathable panels to keep you cool and pockets for storing essentials during your runs.
For Ultramarathon events or trail running training runs, my go-to choice will always be a pair of 2-in-1 running shorts. However, for shorter races or runs, you might prefer a more regular style of run shorts.
